My Reviews:

Last January 2011: I have one fitted to my 2003 Chevy S-July 10, 2008 and another for my 2004 Kawasaki Z1000 in February 2008. S-10 has the Optima batteries installed in August 2006 and Deka Kawasaki installed in August 2008. The second battery is the best quality and represent the best in their category available to the average consumer. Nevertheless, I believe Jr BT is the main reason for the Optima hold 81% of the health and commissioning Deka 71%. Samsung Galaxy Tab (10.1-Inch, 32GB, Wi-Fi) GT-P7510MAVXAB Tablet – OS / interface / web browsing – slight edge to 10.1 Tab Android 3.1 (Honeycomb). This can be more than personal preference, I do not like the product (such as iPad 2) is blocked. I feel the company does not have the right to notify the consumer when he / she is authorized to use a product (like Apple does with them). Anyway, Android OS 3.1 is very fast and go with the philosophy of open source Android operating system and memory cards, 10.1, then it can be configured. Out of the box, you can easily customize the tablet Android 3.1, whatever you want, and if not possible, is a free software out there for you to do – no hacking / jailbreaking required. Tab interface of 10.1 is also much cleaner than 2 iPad, which can get a more solid application installed. I would also note there seems to be visible difference in actual speed / performance (loading pages, etc.) of both products.

My Review:

Apps: Here’s the interesting part. Because I have a cell phone Android device and I have a Google account when I created a 0.1 GT10 immediately and automatically synchronized, downloaded and installed almost all the applications on my phone. There are only a few are not downloaded, probably because they are not compatible with honeycomb (Froyo phone works). THAT quickly and saved me a lot of time and energy for hunting applications. Those who do not download, such as anti-virus application and the stock market, I easily found a replacement in the Android Market. Most dwnloaded games and seems to work fine. I worked for a time trying to decide whether the 13 Apple MacBook Pro MD313LL/A 13.3-Inch Laptop or the MacBook Air is the right choice for me, I form factor, screen resolution and if the weight of air. Frankly, I’m a little worried about getting an OtterBox given the scale / size of the case by case on the phone a little more, but after an interval of 3 iPhone by them, I figure it’s time. After a day or two I really used to this case. I like the silicon, because I’m in a better grip, so it helps me to have little chance of dropping the phone. Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu's First Theatrical Trailer Release

Karan Johar's upcoming film Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu's first theatrical trailer will be launched on November 30 and will be shown along with Balaji Telefilms The Dirty Picture.

The Dirty Picture has created a lot of buzz and Karan wanted the first trailer of Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu to release with it. Ekta Kapoor is a very close friend of Karan's and she readily agreed to Karan's request to attach the trailer of EMAET with The Dirty Picture.

Karan tweeted, "The EK MAIN AUR EKK TU promo will be launched on the 30th of NOV…and will also play in theatres with DIRTY PICTURE!!!!"

EMAET is directed by newcomer Shakun Batra and stars Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead roles. The film is slated to release on February 10, 2012.

Puyol: La Liga not a lost cause

Barcelona captain Carles Puyol has called on his teammates to use pride and professionalism as inspiration in the La Liga title fight.

The Spaniard stated that inferior pitch conditions and the extreme cold compounded Barcelona’s poor first-half performance against Osasuna.

“We knew it would be very cold, but the most important problem was the pitch. It took us a long time to get into the game.” he told fcbarcelona.com

“It was hard to keep your feet, and that’s what hurt us most, and took us a long time to adapt to.”

Despite losing to the home side in that fixture, Puyol believes no one at the club is giving up the La Liga battle just yet.

“Clearly we’re not happy with the match at Osasuna, but the League is not lost yet.” he said.

“We must be realistic and accept that it’s complicated, but if this team has anything, it’s that we will not give up, and we’ll fight to the end.”

He is aware that Los Cules are currently in an unfamiliar position, having become used to leading the league by a number of points in past seasons. However, the central defender insisted that the team’s mentality remains unchanged.

“Before, we were in front and we were forced to keep winning win because they were close behind. Now we must try to win, to put pressure on them to do the same.” he stated.

Puyol maintains that Barcelona’s focus is on themselves, despite the knowledge that the team are now dependent on rivals Real Madrid to slip up in order to close up the points gap. Welcoming Valencia to the Camp Nou is next on the agenda, in what could possibly be another tricky fixture for them.

Whitney Houston’s Final Songs Set to ‘Sparkle’ On The Silver Screen

Two new songs by Whitney Houston, who died yesterday at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles, will be included the upcoming remake of the 1976 film Sparkle, set for release in early August. Houston’s iconic recordings are already set to re-appear in next week’s Billboard chart, and now it appears her final new work will be a cover of a gospel classic and a new duet with Jordin Sparks, both from the film. Details below.

Houston, who began her singing career in the junior choir at her church in Newark, N.J., sings the hymn “Eyes On The Sparrow” in the new film, and her duet with fellow Sparkle star Jordin Sparks on a new R. Kelly track called “Celebrate” will arrive during the movie’s credit sequence, according to Billboard.

Houston hasn’t appeared in a movie since 1996’s The Preacher’s Wife. She acquired the rights to remake the story about a girl group in Harlem in the 1950s almost 12 years ago, and has been working on it off and on ever since. She plays the mother of Sparks’ character, Sparkle, and Sparkle’s sisters. Houston told Entertainment Tonight last year Sparks “knows her voice is like an angel's", though she had reportedly planned for Aaliyah to take the title role before her tragic death in a 2001 plane crash. Cee Lo Green will appear in the film, and music by Curtis Mayfield will be featured on the soundtrack.

Fellow Sparkle producer Bishop T.D Jakes nodded to the fact that the movie may stand as Houston’s final musical work in a statement late Saturday: “We are deeply saddened by the tragic and untimely passing of Whitney Houston, whom we were blessed to have just completed work with on the remake of the film Sparkle. We ask the world to join us in lifting up Whitney’s family in prayer and ask God for their strength and comfort during this devastatingly difficult time. At the apex of her career, Whitney had no peer, with a voice that shaped a generation. She has left behind a musical and film legacy that will endure…. she will be sorely missed by us all.”

Aamir Khan Is Going To Launch Jackie Shroff's Son Tiger

Did Aamir Khan meet Jackie Shroff in Mahabaleshwar last week to finalize plans to launch Jackie's son Tiger?
Jackie doesn't deny that Aamir has shown an interest in launching Tiger. But he says the meeting in Mahabaleshwar was not professional. "Aamir and I have known one another for years. We're fond of one another. I was shooting for Ananth Mahadevan's Life's Good in Mahabaleshwar. Aamir has a home there. He dropped in to see me twice. As far as launching Tiger goes, I'd be really happy if it happens."

It's straight-off tug-o-war between Subhash Ghai and Aamir Khan to launch Jackie and Ayesha Shroff's son Jai (Tiger). Both the producers have shown a keen interest in the boy. In fact Ghai's interest goes back to Tiger's childhood when he had made a pledge he would launch his friend and discovery Jackie's son whenever the boy was ready to take the plunge.

But now, there is a very interesting twist in Tiger's tale, with Bollywood's resident maverick-producer Aamir Khan showing a keen interest in launching Tiger.

Says a source, "Jackie and Ayesha were more or less decided on their family friend Subhash Ghai launching Tiger. But then a call came from Aamir Khan's production house stating that the boss-man wanted to meet Tiger. The boy met Aamir."

Apparently, the meeting went off very satisfactorily, with Aamir spending a couple of hours briefing the Shroff boy on life cinema and other vagaries.

Says the source, "The meeting with Aamir was definitely fruitful. And Aamir is most interested in launching Tiger. But then what happens to family-friend Subhash Ghai's sentimental plans of launching the Shroff boy? That's the dilemma being faced by Jackie and Ayesha who naturally want the best launch for their son. But they don't want to anyone to be hurt in the process."

When asked about his son, Jackie's voiced swelled with parental pleasure and pride. "Tiger has turned out…decent. Hasn't he? Yes, he has met Aamir Khan. To be launched by Aamir would be a big privilege. Aamir is very fine producer, actor and human being. My boy would be in great hands. However Subhashji is also very keen. Do you know he had done Ayesha and mine kanyaadan? To unka Tiger pe haq banta hai. Let's see…"

Injured Lee set for early comeback

Ruled out for over a month due to a broken toe, Australian pacer Brett Lee could make a stunning early comeback in the ongoing ODI tri-series this week itself.

Lee was expected to be out for six weeks after breaking the little toe on his right foot after stopping a powerful shot by Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni during Australia’s Twenty20 loss to India in Melbourne on February 3.

But the 35-year-old said he is ready to push the pain threshold and stage an early comeback.

“The way I explain it is by saying there is a crack in the toe. It’s fractured, but I’m told if you’re going to have that happen to you the little toe is the best one to break,” Lee said.

“I’m striving to be back for the game in Sydney (against Sri Lanka on Friday), I’m doing everything I possibly can to play. I’ve (played with pain) on numerous occasions and I know I can play with a broken toe.

“People asked how I played with my toe split in half at the MCG, but you do these things when you play for your country. In terms of (my) pain threshold I’ve played a lot of games in pain … the reason I took time off was to ensure there wasn’t any long-term damage to the toe,” he explained.

Lee said the early return would not hamper his speed and he would manage to send down deliveries at over 150kph.

“There was a ball in I delivered in the Twenty20 (in Melbourne) which may’ve surprised a lot of people because I think some of them didn’t believe I could break 150km/h at my age.

“To hit 151 or 152 or whatever it felt great,” Lee said.

Wi stays ahead of chasing Tiger

Charlie Wi continued to set the pace in the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am as Tiger Woods forced his way into contention with a run of five birdies in six holes.

Second round leader Wi had a bogey-free round of 69 for three under on the day at Spyglass Hill and 15 under overall to lead by three shots from American Ken Duke.

But it was the performance of Woods which attracted most attention as he ends a 10-year absence from the event but his run of birdies was followed by seven pars at the end of his round of 67 for five under which sees him four shots off the pace overall.

Wi ended the day on 15 under which saw him three ahead of Duke, with Woods a further shot back and Phil Mickelson two further back on nine under.

Mickelson shot 70 at Pebble Beach and was joined on nine under by Dustin Johnson who shot an even 70 at Monterey Peninsula.

They are joined on nine under by fellow Americans Kevin Na, Brendon Todd and Hunter Mahan, while Ireland’s Padraig Harrington lies a shot further back along with home duo Bob Estes and Ricky Barnes.

A late fade by Fiji’s Vijay Singh saw him join the group on seven under along with England’s Greg Owen.

Gary Christian and Brian Davis both finished the day on two under, one shot ahead of fellow Englishman Ian Poulter.

Woods told the PGA Tour website: “I hit my putts as well I did the last couple of days. This time they went in.

“I’ve got a chance going into [Sunday]. Obviously I have to put together another good round and possibly go even lower.”

Uday Chopra Announced the Formation of New Production Company

Uday Chopra has announced the formation of YRF Entertainment, a Hollywood-based production and financing company focused on developing and producing feature films for the U.S. and international marketplace. The company is launched and funded by Yash Raj Films, the 41-year old studio that was founded by Yash Chopra, and continues to be one of India's most prolific film producers and distributors. Uday Chopra will serve as CEO of YRF Entertainment and has hired Jonathan Reiman to head development and production under him.

Uday Chopra commented, "My family has a deep commitment to making and distributing quality films that entertain and enlighten audiences. I share that passion, as well as a love for American films that I have had since childhood. It is that enthusiasm and my love of the creative process of filmmaking that drove me to start this new venture."

YRF Entertainment is currently producing and financing The Longest Week, which began shooting last week in New York City. Written and directed by Peter Glanz, the movie stars Jason Bateman, Olivia Wilde, and Billy Crudup. Uday Chopra is producing with Neda Armian. Exec Producers are, Jonathan Reiman, Chris Marsh, Stone Douglass, and Taylor Materne.

The comedy tells the story of a bratty "man-child" (Bateman) who still lives with his parents in a chic Manhattan hotel but suddenly finds himself evicted, disinherited and hopelessly in love with his best friend's heartthrob (Wilde).

Uday tracked down the project after the original financier had to abandon the film and immediately fell in love with the material. He quickly arranged a creative and physical production meeting with Glanz and Armian in Mumbai. After the lengthy meeting, he committed to making the movie, with his business and legal team closing the deal in less than two weeks.

YRF Entertainment is also building a slate of projects that it will actively develop and produce from the ground up. The first project the company will develop is an untitled action/comedy by Dan Ewen (Opposites Attract) about two twenty-something's who run away from their towns to pursue big dreams and become an unlikely but seemingly unstoppable duo after meeting serendipitously

6 Nations: England’s Strettle returns

England wing David Strettle embodies the inspirational quote: “It’s not whether you get knocked down but whether you get up”.

Strettle was left floored when Martin Johnson omitted him out of England’s squad for the 2011 World Cup without even giving him a chance to impress in the warm-up matches.

The Saracens winger had already had to deal with the frustration of missing the 2007 World Cup and the 2008 Six Nations after breaking the same metatarsal twice.

Johnson’s decision to cast him aside untested left Strettle at rock bottom just months after he had helped Saracens win their first Aviva Premiership title.

But Strettle responded to the setback in such style that he forced his way into Stuart Lancaster’s plans and then back into the England team.

Tomorrow [Sunday], the 28-year-old will win his eighth cap – five years after his first – as England tackle Italy at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

“I had six caps until last year. My lowest point was probably at the World Cup when I got released from the squad,” Strettle said.

“Everyone has patches in their career where they have missed out through injury. I knew if I kept working hard I’d get my chance again.

“My form had been good with Sarries. I felt I warranted an opportunity to have a chance to impress in the World Cup warm-ups and it never came.

“I felt I had done everything I could and I was quite down.

“But once it has happened, you are not going to become a better player by dwelling on it.

“You have to use it as stimulus to push on. It is great to be back in the mix now. It was a great occasion last weekend to pull the shirt on.”

We bring to you the first trailer of ‘Housefull 2’.

In the promo, Akshay Kumar is paired up with Asin, John with Jacqueline Fernandez, Shreyas Talpade with Shazahn Padamsee and Ritesh Deshmukh with Zarine Khan.

While Akki is a khurrat guy, John Abraha is a handsome chor. Shreyas is a ghar jamaai and Ritesh is just not into marriage.

Housefull 2 also sees the veterans Rishi Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, Mithun Chakraborty and Boman Irani as the four sasurs.

The trailer surely is rib tickling, filled with comedy and confusion.

Latvala thrives as Loeb loses hope

Ford’s Jari-Matti Latvala was rewarded for his careful approach to tyre conservation as he opened up a 16.8 second lead after the opening day of Rally Sweden.

World champion Sebastien Loeb’s hopes of victory were effectively ended on Friday.

Finn Latvala ran near the front throughout the day, and enjoyed a fine battle for the lead with former team-mate and current Citroen driver Mikko Hirvonen during the morning loop of stages.

Hirvonen, who has won the last two editions of the Karlstad-based event, led at the day’s halfway point but paid the price for pushing hard on the afternoon run through the stages, with the low levels of snow and ice causing huge problems for the studded Michelin tyres.

Latvala, having looked after his rubber, snuck back in front on stage eight before producing an excellent performance on stage nine to beat Hirvonen by 14.6 seconds and open up an advantage of more than 17 seconds, which was trimmed slightly after the short superspecial stage at the close of the day.

By this stage Loeb was languishing in seventh place. The Frenchman had been running around the fringes of the top three and appeared to be finding his feet when he set the fastest time on the stage immediately after the mid-day break, but his Citroen DS3 WRC struck a snow bank just two corners into stage seven and he lost over two minutes to fall back down the field.

His misfortune left factory Ford driver Petter Solberg and Adapta Ford’s Mads Ostberg battling for third, with Solberg taking the honours with a strong afternoon run, having lost time with a spin this morning.

And such were Hirvonen’s struggles late in the day, Solberg now stands just 1.8 seconds behind the man he replaced in the Blue Oval team to raise the prospect of a potential Ford one-two finish.

But the day belonged to Latvala, who was delighted to see his patient approach pay off.

“My start position strategy paid off and it was an excellent day,” he said.

“I made a few small mistakes this morning which cost me the lead and the car oversteered a little, but that improved as the day continued.

I knew I was losing time to Petter in the penultimate stage because my studs were more worn, but I remained calm and it turned out that other drivers were losing even more.

“Today was the hardest for the tyres but the grip remained good this afternoon.

I must keep pushing tomorrow and it’s important to stay focused. Keeping clear of the snow banks will be key because it’s all too easy to be dragged into the soft snow and become stuck.”

Evegny Novikov and Henning Solberg were next up in fifth and sixth with the recovering Loeb having hauled himself ahead of the Prodrive Mini of home favourite Patrik Sandell, whose team-mate Dani Sordo was struck by technical problems.

The top 10 was rounded out by the privateer Ford Fiestas of Martin Prokop and Eyvind Brinildsen.

Aamir’s upcoming film titled ‘Talli’

After his much-acclaimed film 3 Idiots which also turned out to be Indian cinema’s biggest blockbuster, the news was abuzz that the director Rajkumar Hirani will go back to his Munna Bhai days and is thinking of directing the next Munna Bhai film. But as per reports, it’s not Munna Bhai 3, but a film with Aamir Khan that will keep Hirani busy.

So Raju Hirani, as he is popularly called, is reportedly finishing a project called PK which stars Aamir Khan in the lead. As the abbreviation sounds, the film is about a social crusader who remains sloshed. The character is shown in a tipsy state throughout the film, and Aamir Khan, considering how perfect he is, has not hit the bottle (as he doesn’t drink), but has started getting a hang of slurring and stumbling that is needed to play a drunken hero.

But both the director and the actor are now not so pleased with the movie’s title PK. The title sounded “ambiguous” to them, and wasn’t able to convey what the film was all about. So both Hirani and Aamir decided that the title should be changed for good and thought of renaming it ‘Talli’.

However, to name their film Talli is not easy. The problem with changing the title is that the rights of the title Talli lies with the filmmaker Ken Ghosh and it depends on him whether he is willing to part with it.

When Ken Ghosh was asked about it, he only said, Hirani just has to ask for it. It’s also not known whether Talli will release before Aamir Khan’s Dhoom 3 or after it.

Meanwhile, Hirani’s associate and writer Abhijat Joshi will take forward the Munna Bhai franchise with Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi.

Mancini unconcerned by City away woes

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has played down concerns about his team’s away form ahead of Sunday’s game at Aston Villa.

The Barclays Premier League leaders will look to arrest a disappointing sequence of results away from the Etihad Stadium with victory at Villa Park this weekend, having won just one of their last six away games.

However, Mancini is adamant the problem is only short-term.

“We knew it was impossible to score three goals in every away game,” he said. “Sometimes you can lose these games.

“But we didn’t deserve to lose any of these games. At Sunderland we had 70% possession and lost to an offside goal in injury time.

“At Everton we had 70% of the ball and had all the shots. At Chelsea it was the same.”

City will be coming up against three old boys in Richard Dunne, Stephen Ireland and Shay Given – the last two of whom Mancini was responsible for selling.

The Blues boss was anxious not to make a big thing of that, though.

“This is Manchester City against Aston Villa, not Dunne, Ireland and Given,” said Mancini, who confirmed Yaya and Kolo Toure will return to the club immediately after Sunday’s African Nations Cup final, when Ivory Coast take on Zambia.

Villa fail to extend Keane loan

Aston Villa have been unsuccessful in their attempt to extend Robbie Keane’s loan period and he will return to the Los Angeles Galaxy after the clash at Wigan on February 25.

Keane has made a big impression at Villa, scoring three goals in two league starts, and Villa were hoping he could remain with them for a further week.

But the Galaxy want Keane to return after playing at the DW Stadium to prepare for the new Major Soccer League season which starts on March 10.

Keane will feature in Sunday’s Barclays Premier League meeting with Manchester City but Villa’s FA Cup exit means he will have a two-week wait before his final appearance against the Latics.

Actress Bipasha Basu is currently riding high on all the praise she received for a toned took in her last release Players and her upcoming film Jodi Breakers.

“I’ve always believed that one should upgrade with each occasion. I’m always doing something or the other to keep myself updated and many a times my friends wonder where do I get the energy from. And there are times when I feel irritated because I’m always charged up. In fact, my friends teasingly call me a Machine or a Robot. So, the rare times when I feel a little slow and take some rest, my friends agree that I’m a human being,” laughs Bipasha adding that a hectic schedule ensures she is free from all kinds of insecurities.

Bips is presently shooting for Raaz 3. Ask the hot bod actor if she likes working on horror films and she reveals, “I am a big phattu. I am extremely afraid to watch horror films alone. I can’t even sleep in the dark. While shooting for Raaz, I used to live in fear even though there would be many people around during the shoots. But I feel more than shooting for a horror film, watching it alone is way more tough for me. I am so scared of the idea of ghosts and spirits that even loud noises can scare me easily.”

Talking about the film, she says that Raaz 3 is a different story and doesn’t resemble the first two installments at all. “It is an urban tale, set up in Mumbai. People feel there are no ghosts in Mumbai, but its untrue. In fact we are ourselves ghosts in this city,” she says laughing out loud. “However, I feel it doesn’t matter for a ghost whether it’s from Mumbai, Miami or some remote village! Having said all this, now I’m already feeling scared to sleep at night!” says Bipasha.

Emery hails players despite Copa exit

Valencia coach Unai Emery is pleased with his side despite their 3-1 aggregate loss to Barcelona in the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey.

Heading into Wednesday’s tie having drawn the first leg at the Mestalla 1-1, Valencia were put to the sword by goals from Cesc Fabregas and Xavi, ending their chances of winning the competition they last won in 2008.

However, Emery insists he is proud of the way his team played, and concedes they still have some way to go before they are capable of matching the reigning Spanish and European champions.

“We have to give credit to Valencia for what they did against a great rival and great players,” Emery said in his post-match press conference. “To beat them we have to do things better.

“We have two good matches against them but we missed something. The most important thing is that we had chances to score, which is positive, while the negative aspect was that we allowed them to create chances which we did not want them to have.

“We were unlucky enough to have good matches and good spells, but we could not beat Barca because of their quality. We knew this tie would be hard, but we remained hopeful.

“We knew we needed to have the perfect match against them, and it did not happen.”

Emery was also quick to dismiss suggestions his side sorely missed star striker Roberto Soldado, and expects every player to be able to play a role when called upon.

“We have a large squad and we cannot depend on one player,” Emery added.

“Everyone should have worked harder, because we are always trying to improve. We seek a very high level but I trust my players, who took us to the semi-finals.

“Now we will focus on La Liga again and we are starting a new phase in the Europa League. We will need every player.”

Valencia, currently third in La Liga, are next in action on Sunday when they entertain Sporting Gijon.

Lady Gaga Debuts Official Born This Way Ball Tour Poster (PHOTO)

Christmas has come two months late (or 10 months early) for Lady Gaga’s Little Monsters, as the social-networking pop star took to Twitter again tonight (Feb. 7) to leak details about her 2012-2013 tour, The Born This Way Ball. This time around, the 2012 Grammy performer shared the tour’s official poster, a bit of “homework” she says she finished early and felt compelled to leak after “too much wine.”

The moody black-and-white design features Mother Monster’s large, godlike visage peering out from ominous clouds above a medieval castle in the same architectural style as The Born This Way Ball’s stage design sketch.

Four men stand with Gaga in the foreground of the structure, while another man peers out from a tower window. Below the group appears the tour’s official name in large block letters, superimposed over an electric purple inverted pyramid.

We think the poster evokes characters from The Rocky Horror Picture Show, specifically the pale-faced, fair-haired alien manservant Riff Raff, and in the costuming from the “Time Warp” musical number.

The “Marry The Night” singer also tweeted that The Born This Way Ball official tour dates will be announced tomorrow (Feb. at 11 a.m. PST.

Riteish-Genelia prefer cricket to honeymoon!

After their grand wedding in Mumbai, Riteish Deshmukh and his bride Genelia skipped the honeymoon and flew to Vizag, Kerala , instead, to be a part of the Celebrity Cricket League tournament on Sunday.

With Genelia cheering from the sidelines, Riteish was obviously in full form and took two wickets in the game. His team Mumbai Heroes eventually won the match.

The newlyweds will apparently have another reception at Latur on February 11, to celebrate in Congress leader Vilasrao Deshmukh’s constituency.

Salman is more corrupt in Dabangg 2!

The much hyped sequel to 2010 blockbuster flick Dabangg will go on floor after Salman Khan wraps up his shoot for Ek Tha Tiger.

As per the buzz for Dabangg 2, Salman Khan will play a more corrupt cop and Chulbul Pandey will not mend his antiques instead he will exaggerate his ways.

The sequel will be directed by Arbazz Khan but what will disappoint fans is that Dabangg 2 has no Sonu Sood. But what is interesting is that Salman this time operates not from Lalganj, but from Mumbai.

Prakash Raj, seen in Singham and Wanted will be playing the villain in the flick. Dabangg 2 is slated to release on Christmas in 2012.

Asunta: Young legs will help us deliver

With Olympic dreams in her eyes, the Indian women's hockey skipper wants to carry forward a family legacy.

Hockey in India is still a male bastion. Women’s hockey has been in the limelight for both good and bad causes but rarely for ‘family’ reasons! An instance where a family has produced brother-sister internationals is rather uncommon in India.

Interestingly, the current Indian hockey squads have such a unique duo: a brother-sister combo with a common goal – to seek a berth in the London Olympics later this year.

This Lakra family from Jharkhand in fact has three internationals. Bimal is a veteran international from among six siblings and he has passed the baton to brother Birender and sister Asunta, now the captain of the Indian women’s team for the upcoming Olympics qualifiers in New Delhi.

Hockey is a passion for young folk in the tribal belts of Orissa and Bihar. Almost every family has a touching tale to narrate when it comes to embracing the game.
Asunta’s is no different. Having had to borrow elder brother Binay’s shoes for a game on the rugged pitches of Simdega region, 25-year-old came up the hard way.

While the fruits of labour are always sweet, she carries the huge responsibility of taking a family tradition forward. Asunta looks media-shy at first glance but during her exclusive chat with ESPNSTAR.com, she emerged as a confident young lady with Olympic dreams in her eyes.

Excerpts:

Sunil Taneja: The Olympic qualifiers are very crucial for India. Are you under pressure?

Asunta Lakra: We were under pressure till a few weeks ago but as we come closer to the tournament, there is no pressure. We have been working very hard for the last six months and trying to rectify our shortcomings. The Test series against Azerbaijan was of great help and we identified our loopholes. We are trying to fix these grey areas in our camp.

ST: What are the shortcomings you have identified?

AL: There are two major things we are working on. One is scoring in the striking circle and other one is penalty-corner conversion. When we play our practice games against the boys’ team, we concentrate mainly on penalty-corner conversions.

Fitness is also our key concern. Our support staff is working quite hard with us and the girls are responding really well.

ST: The Indian team is without senior players like Saba Anjum and Surinder Kaur. Do you feel the youngsters will fill their shoes nicely?

AL: Absolutely. We have plenty of young legs in the team and all the girls are very decent players and full of conviction. I have full faith in them, and we will surely deliver good results.

ST: In the coming qualifiers, which team you feel will give the stiffest competition? (India are clubbed with South Africa, Canada, Italy, Ukraine and Poland)

AL: I think all of them. We are not taking any team lightly. We have to beat all of them to qualify for the Olympics and god willing, we will do that.

ST: Your elder brother Bimal was a star player once and now younger brother Birender is also representing the country. So does that put extra pressure on you, being from a hockey family?

AL: No, it’s a matter of pride for me that I am Bimal’s younger sister. My family has always supported me for this game. I have learnt a lot from Bimal and he has always encouraged me to take up all the challenges.

ST: You literally stepped into your brother’s shoes to play hockey!

AL (laughs): Yes, my brother Binay Lakra, who is unfortunately not in the world now, gave me his shoes to practice. He also gave me his hockey stick as I did not have one.

Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan Are The Famous Couple Of Bollywood

They are called the Brangelina of Bollywood; like the Hollywood glamour couple, you'd think Saif and Kareena might never really zero in on a date for their marriage. Speculations have been rife about Bebo tying the knot with Saifu ever since they made their relationship official at a fashion event in 2007.

The media even secretly married them off several times in the past two years. A headline screamed, "Saif-Kareena's secret nikaah!" However, now finally the Kapoor gal and the Khan boy have decided to solemnise their love on paper and declare it to the world.
"We are getting married in Feb or March," Saif was quoted as saying, last month. The two, who have remained committed to each other since four years, have maintained that marriage would not change much. Says Kareena, "Even now we go on holidays and try and take out as much time as possible for each other.
So this way, I hope I get more time to spend with Saif. Nothing else would change. We both are neck deep in work and it would be the same even post marriage."

Sajid-Wajid Dou To Compose Son Of Sardar

Music composer duo Sajid-Wajid has been roped in to do the music of Ajay Devgn's next film, Son Of Sardar. The duo, who has composed music for films like Wanted, Dabangg and No Problem, has already started work on the film's music. Confirming this, Sajid tells us, "Yes, we are doing the music for the film. In fact, we have already recorded one track."

Son Of Sardar, which has already gone on floor, is being directed by Ashwini Dhir and stars Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjay Dutt and Juhi Chawla. The film is slated for release in November next year.

Okay, that’s the Super Bowl done. Next up: this coming Sunday’s Grammy Awards telecast! Adele, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga are all on tap to perform, and it’s not surprising — they’re each nominated in various categories this year. Today we kick off our annual round of predictions for who will win Grammy gold in several areas. We’re first training our eyes on the Pop and Dance categories.

Head below to look into the magical, musical Idolator crystal ball with us. Then, by this time next week, you can either high-five or goof on us, depending on how things go down Sunday night.

WILL WIN: Grammy did away with the Best Female and Male Pop Vocal Performance categories of yore this year in lieu of a combination of the two. That said, it seems like ladies still rule as far as the nominees are concerned, and our money is on chart dominatrix Adele for the win.
SHOULD WIN: We say Adele deserves it most. She soared while keeping it simple, plus her sophomore LP 21 has produced some of the most memorable singles of the decade so far. The wrenching “Someone Like You” is certainly no exception.

Kobayashi defends new Sauber

Kamui Kobayashi has dismissed criticism the latest generation of Formula One car is ugly.

Sauber drivers Kobayashi and Sergio Perez unveiled their latest car, the C31, on a bright, sunny morning at the Circuito de Jerez in southern Spain.

Like the Ferrari, Caterham, Force India and Lotus before it, the car has the now familiar-looking stepped ‘platypus-style’ nose to meet the latest FIA regulations regarding the height of the front wing.

Only McLaren has taken a different route to date, with the nose on the MP4-27 a smoother design, and now only time will tell if they have taken a wrong turn or are a step ahead of their rivals.

Asked about the ‘ugly’ design of the car Japanese star Kobayashi, who finished 12th in last year’s championship with 30 points, said: “You think it’s ugly?

“If everybody has the same style of car then it’s not ugly. Only the McLaren is different, so we will see.

“Yes, it looks in the beginning a bit ugly, but a couple of years ago we went with a high wing and everybody said that car was ugly.

“Now everybody is used to it, so in a couple of months I’m sure we won’t have these comments any more.”

Mexican Perez, four places and 16 points behind Kobayashi, added: “Our team has done a very good job over the winter and towards the end of last year developing our car.

“I’m confident we have a strong car, a strong package, with our target to definitely improve on last year.”

Perez, meanwhile, believes the Swiss team will overcome the shock departure of technical director James Key on Friday.

Key had naturally played a significant role in developing the car, so his exit three days ago came out of the blue.

Perez said: “The way I see it we have a really strong team.

“James was a key person, but the team will be together and remain very strong.”

Explaining Key’s departure, CEO Monisha Kaltenborn said: “For a while both sides felt things were not working out, and not what was expected. What has happened is a result of that.

“James joined us during a handover period from a factory team to a private team.

“His contribution was very valuable, but we now have a structure, long term, that is the right one going forward.

“The people now in charge of the performance of the car have been there for some time, so we don’t expect any kind of destabilisation.

“We think we are well prepared, we have stability and continuity, especially with our drivers.

“We have expanded our factory in Hinwil, we now have around 300 employees, so that sets us up well for the future.”

With regard to the team’s targets for the season, after finishing seventh in the constructors’ championship last season, team boss Peter Sauber said: “It’s the same as every year – we want to score points on a regular basis.

“We also want to improve in the championship significantly, and it is important for us to finish in the top 10 in qualifying on a regular basis.”

Kaltenborn, meanwhile, has confirmed Sauber are now no longer a member of the Formula One Teams’ Association.

It means at this stage seven teams remain, with Sauber, Red Bull, Ferrari, Toro Rosso and Hispania all having withdrawn, seemingly weakening further FOTA’s unity.

Why HDR ?
Real life scenes often have a wide range of light intensity, which cannot be captured by a camera. In a photo of such a scene the bright areas look washed out and everything in shadows is pictured as a black spot with no details. The HDR technique allows you to capture details in bright and dark areas and have them merged in a single photo.

HDR photography is widely adopted by professional photographers. Wouldn’t it be nice to have an HDR in mobile phones?

The problem is that HDR requires taking several differently exposed images in series, which must be precisely aligned and then fused. Tony Bennett pulled out all the stops for his Grammy-nominated Duets II album, joining forces with some of the most talented musicians of the last decade such as Amy Winehouse and Lady Gaga. And the streak continues as we get a music video for his sonic rendezvous with John Mayer, “One For My Baby (One More For The Road).” The two do some old-fashioned lounge-style riffing as we spy them in the studio (in suits, of course — this is Tony Bennett we’re talking about). Berlocq denies Chela in Chile

Argentinian Carlos Berlocq caused an upset by denying his second-seeded compatriot Juan Ignacio Chela a place in the final of the VTR Open in Vina del Mar, Chile.

The world number 66 and seventh seed posted an impressive 6-3 4-6 6-0 win over Chela and will tackle top seed Juan Monaco, another Argentinian, in Sunday’s final.

Berlocq will be contesting his first ATP final as a singles player, having previously won a doubles title and reached two other doubles finals.

Chela, ranked 25th, looked to be getting on top against Berlocq when he levelled the match, but then did not win another game.

Monaco was clinical against Frenchman Jeremy Chardy in the second semi-final at the clay-court event.

Chardy, unseeded and ranked 82nd, was beaten 6-1 6-4 by the world number 14.

Actress Chitrangda Singh: I never said I am Smita Patil

She made jaws drop with her latest role in Rohit Dhawan’s Desi Boyz. But when the shock of Chitrangda’s transformation from the thinking man’s heroine to the out-and-out glam diva settled, she did not quite receive the feedback she would have liked. In fact a major portion of the flak dished out at the film was directed at the actress, who made her Bollywood debut in 2003 in Sudhir Mishra’s Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi and since came to be known as the next Smita Patil. However, Chitrangda, not only stands by her decisions but also defends her transformation from what was considered a Smita Patil in the making. She told Mumbai Mirror, “Honestly, it’s a huge compliment to be called the next Smita Patil. But, I don’t take it seriously. I don’t think I am Smita Patil. I have done very little work to be come close to what she has achieved. But, sometimes when people say ‘Oh she is probably not as good as her’, then it sort of hurts a little bit because I never said I am her. I don’t think I can ever be her. I think it is more a physical resemblance. I am just quoting what people said and that is that it’s been a very seamless transition. The feedback has been good. People have pleasantly surprised me by referring to me as ‘hot’ and ‘fab’. So, it’s been very encouraging. I know from what I did in my initial films to this, it is a complete change.”

“I can understand certain people are fond of a particular kind of cinema, so I was doing that. But, they probably don’t like this kind of cinema, so they do not appreciate my move over. They probably still enjoy watching Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, which is a fabulous film and the best offer I could have ever asked for as an actor. But I think you have to stretch yourself as an actor. Sometimes you have to play glamourous roles and then go back, strip off all the make-up and play a more serious character. I think I have done that, but a lot of people seem to like me better in parallel cinema. I wanted a little change from the kind of films that I was doing,” added Chitrangda.

While the kind of cinema that Chitrangda suits is debatable, many have questioned if the drastic transformation included going under the knife. However, the actress claims that the secret to her newfound sexiness her make-up artist. She chirped, “This has got to be the funniest thing I have ever heard. I have a very good make-up artist called Shaan.”
