Wi stays ahead of chasing TigerCharlie Wi continued to set the pace in the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am as Tiger Woods forced his way into contention with a run of five birdies in six holes. Second round leader Wi had a bogey-free round of 69 for three under on the day at Spyglass Hill and 15 under overall to lead by three shots from American Ken Duke. But it was the performance of Woods which attracted most attention as he ends a 10-year absence from the event but his run of birdies was followed by seven pars at the end of his round of 67 for five under which sees him four shots off the pace overall. Wi ended the day on 15 under which saw him three ahead of Duke, with Woods a further shot back and Phil Mickelson two further back on nine under. Mickelson shot 70 at Pebble Beach and was joined on nine under by Dustin Johnson who shot an even 70 at Monterey Peninsula. They are joined on nine under by fellow Americans Kevin Na, Brendon Todd and Hunter Mahan, while Ireland’s Padraig Harrington lies a shot further back along with home duo Bob Estes and Ricky Barnes. A late fade by Fiji’s Vijay Singh saw him join the group on seven under along with England’s Greg Owen. Gary Christian and Brian Davis both finished the day on two under, one shot ahead of fellow Englishman Ian Poulter. Woods told the PGA Tour website: “I hit my putts as well I did the last couple of days. This time they went in. “I’ve got a chance going into [Sunday]. Obviously I have to put together another good round and possibly go even lower.” |

 Uday Chopra Announced the Formation of New Production Company Uday Chopra has announced the formation of YRF Entertainment, a Hollywood-based production and financing company focused on developing and producing feature films for the U.S. and international marketplace. The company is launched and funded by Yash Raj Films, the 41-year old studio that was founded by Yash Chopra, and continues to be one of India's most prolific film producers and distributors. Uday Chopra will serve as CEO of YRF Entertainment and has hired Jonathan Reiman to head development and production under him. Uday Chopra commented, "My family has a deep commitment to making and distributing quality films that entertain and enlighten audiences. I share that passion, as well as a love for American films that I have had since childhood. It is that enthusiasm and my love of the creative process of filmmaking that drove me to start this new venture." YRF Entertainment is currently producing and financing The Longest Week, which began shooting last week in New York City. Written and directed by Peter Glanz, the movie stars Jason Bateman, Olivia Wilde, and Billy Crudup. Uday Chopra is producing with Neda Armian. Exec Producers are, Jonathan Reiman, Chris Marsh, Stone Douglass, and Taylor Materne. The comedy tells the story of a bratty "man-child" (Bateman) who still lives with his parents in a chic Manhattan hotel but suddenly finds himself evicted, disinherited and hopelessly in love with his best friend's heartthrob (Wilde). Uday tracked down the project after the original financier had to abandon the film and immediately fell in love with the material. He quickly arranged a creative and physical production meeting with Glanz and Armian in Mumbai. After the lengthy meeting, he committed to making the movie, with his business and legal team closing the deal in less than two weeks. YRF Entertainment is also building a slate of projects that it will actively develop and produce from the ground up. The first project the company will develop is an untitled action/comedy by Dan Ewen (Opposites Attract) about two twenty-something's who run away from their towns to pursue big dreams and become an unlikely but seemingly unstoppable duo after meeting serendipitously  |

6 Nations: England’s Strettle returnsEngland wing David Strettle embodies the inspirational quote: “It’s not whether you get knocked down but whether you get up”.
Strettle was left floored when Martin Johnson omitted him out of England’s squad for the 2011 World Cup without even giving him a chance to impress in the warm-up matches. The Saracens winger had already had to deal with the frustration of missing the 2007 World Cup and the 2008 Six Nations after breaking the same metatarsal twice. Johnson’s decision to cast him aside untested left Strettle at rock bottom just months after he had helped Saracens win their first Aviva Premiership title. But Strettle responded to the setback in such style that he forced his way into Stuart Lancaster’s plans and then back into the England team. Tomorrow [Sunday], the 28-year-old will win his eighth cap – five years after his first – as England tackle Italy at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. “I had six caps until last year. My lowest point was probably at the World Cup when I got released from the squad,” Strettle said. “Everyone has patches in their career where they have missed out through injury. I knew if I kept working hard I’d get my chance again. “My form had been good with Sarries. I felt I warranted an opportunity to have a chance to impress in the World Cup warm-ups and it never came. “I felt I had done everything I could and I was quite down. “But once it has happened, you are not going to become a better player by dwelling on it. “You have to use it as stimulus to push on. It is great to be back in the mix now. It was a great occasion last weekend to pull the shirt on.”
