 For Bollywood, 2012 did njot start on a very good note. The film Players which released last Friday, went thud at the box office, failing to pull the crowd to theaters, despite tremendous publicity. Hitting over 2000 screens, the film managed to collect Rs. 4.7 crore on Friday. Saturdays usually see a rise in business. However, the collection decreased to Rs. 4.6 crore. Sunday however, saw a raise of Rs 5.75 crore. To sum up the total, the weekends collection was Rs. 15 crore. What’s depressing is that, despite ‘Players’ being a single release, signs of picking up in the coming days are very beak. Coming to Don2, the film has emerged as a superhit, crossing a total collection of Rs. 100 crore. The next major release would be Agneepath on January 26. |

 Reports have it that megastar Rajnikanth is keen to work with Bollywood actress Vidya balan, in his next movie. What’s interesting is that, previously too, Vidya was approached by the superstar, but the actress turned down his offer. Well, the actress was Rajni’s first choice for Rana. Turning down the superstar’s offer came as a shock to many in the industry, though Vidya had her reasons for declining the offer. As a source is quoted as saying, “Vidya is the flavour of the season. She has proven herself time and again and Soundarya Rajinikanth (the producer) is looking for someone who can do complete justice to the part…” It is heard that the superstar is a big admirer of Vidya Balan and believes that she has a great potential. |

Puyol: Barca can still catch MadridCarles Puyol remains optimistic despite seeing Barcelona drop five points behind leaders Real Madrid in the La Liga. The European champions conceded a late goal to draw 1-1 with Espanyol on Sunday, 24 hours after Jose Mourinho’s team had demolished Granada 5-1. However, defender Puyol is refusing to panic, telling the club’s official website: “Five points is a significant distance, but it can be retrieved. “We will not concede the league and will fight to the end. “We still aim to be champions.” |
Mike Posner has released the visuals for “Looks Like Sex”, the new single from his forthcoming album Sky High (due Spring 2012), and true to the song, all the models in the clip do indeed resemble “sex”, in that they’re brash, bangin’, and barely clothed. And what does Mr. Posner look like, pacing around a questionably designed set? He looks like a guy who knows how to get people to watch his new video. Clip below.
