NFL: Denver clinch NFC WestDenver clinched the NFC West division and are heading for the play-offs for the first time since 2005, even though they lost 7-3 to the Kansas City Chiefs. They took the crown because Oakland lost 38-26 to the San Diego Chargers – a win underpinned by three Philip Rivers touchdown passes. Oakland needed a win and other results to go their way to give them a chance, only to miss out on head-to-head record. Two touchdowns from Ray Rice helped Baltimore to a 24-16 victory over Cincinnati that earned the Ravens a third AFC North title and the number two seed in the play-offs. Baltimore will get a first-round bye and then a home tie as a result. They are 8-0 for the season on their own turf. The Bengals also got through to the play-offs – their third appearance in history – as the Jets and Broncos fell to defeat. They will meet Houston for the right to face the Patriots. The Atlanta Falcons secured the number five seed in the play-offs with a 45-24 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Julio Jones cupped two touchdown passes inside 26 seconds and Michael Turner ran in for two scores to set up a tie against the winner of the Dallas-New York Giants game which is the last regular-season fixture to be played. Isaac Redman came in for the injured Rashard Mendenhall and ran for a touchdown as Pittsburgh made the play-offs with a tense 13-9 win over Cleveland. Redman scored on a seven-yard run in the third quarter, who missed out on first place in AFC North to the Ravens on head-to-head record. Pittsburg will meet Tim Tebow and Denver next. Elsewhere, Larry Fitzgerald produced a spectacular one-handed grab to help lay-on a 28-yard Jay Feely fielg goal to give Arizona a 23-20 win over Seattle in overtime. Fitzgerald caught nine passes for 149 yards and John Skelton completed 22 of 40 for 271 yards and a touchdown.

And it’s not just any screening… Winners will be getting exclusive VIP treatment, including drinks, at this special event at the Charlotte Street Hotel, London. The screening kicks off at 8pm on 5 January 2012, so the lucky ones who get tickets should get there between 7 – 7.30pm.  Sulagna Panigrahi Opposite Rajat Barmecha in Upcoming Movie Sulagna Panigrahi, popular as Dhara of Amber-Dhara fame, took the big leap and entered Bollywood with the thriller, Murder 2. And now she has grabbed her second big project opposite Rajat Barmecha of Udaan fame. The movie we hear is a youth-centric movie. In Murder 2, the actress played a damsel in distress and couldn't do the typical dancing and prancing around trees in the movie. However, her wish is fulfilled with her latest movie as not only is she playing a much younger girl but is also going to dance. Sulagna says, "Yes, I have been selected for a film with Rajat Barmecha and it is a youth oriented movie. I am not allowed to divulge anything else at this stage. It's a sheer co-incidence that I bumped into Rajat at the film festival, I had attended a few months ago and I had liked the film Udaan very much. And later we were introduced as co-stars in the party. I am looking forward to doing all that a Bollywood heroine does. After doing a film like Murder 2 where I was screaming throughout the film, this film gives me the scope to present my talent in a different way." Good going girl.  |

A new trailer for The Avengers has landed online. OK, so it’s in Russian, but there’s still plenty of superhero goodness to enjoy if you don’t mind a bit of Russian dubbing. There’s not a whole lot of new footage, though eagle-eyed Avengers obsessives will spot a few little treats littered throughout. Basically, if you’re as obsessed with seeing The Avengers as we are, this’ll provide a little relief ahead of the four-month wait until the film’s release. Check it out below: And, if you’re not averse to spoilers, read on… Toy manufacturers have a way of spoiling big superhero movies, with figurines often revealing key characters before the movie marketing does (how many times are we going to see Spider-Man‘s Lizard in toy-form before we get a glimpse of the real thing?) Well, according to MovieWeb, the HeroClix line of Avengers toys may have given away another of the film’s big baddies. According to a press release, Thor and Captain America will be battling Loki and… the Red Skull. The scarlet-visaged Nazi evaporated at the end of Captain America: The First Avenger, so depending on where he ended up, it’s quite possible he could be coming back (did he get teleported to Asgard?) Or, is it merely a ploy by the toy company to make it a more fairly matched fight between heroes and villains?
