 Actor-filmmaker Dev Anand passed away on Saturday night following a cardiac arrest in London, imprinting his footprints in the entertainment world forever… Known for his evergreen aura, Dharam Dev Anand has perhaps being the most prolific and versatile member of the Bollywood fraternity. Treating age just like any other figure, Dev saab’s contribution to the industry will be remembered forever. Movies like Guide and Gambler have been such huge blockbusters that the actor was given sobriquets like ‘Raju guide’ and ‘the great gambler’. He was also honoured with the Padma Bhushan in 2001 and the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2002. The actor apparently liked to be on his own. He believed that an artiste has to isolate himself so that he can focus on his work. Sticking to his ideology, the actor preferred leading a simple life and never ruled out the possibility of falling in love again. Trudging through quite an interesting and long journey, from his first movie Hum Ek Hain (1946) to the last one Chargesheet (2011), this legend and his enthusiasm to work and live life to the fullest, will be missed. B-town mourns the death of this talented actor and so do the great number of fans who have grown up watching this expressive performer’s movies. Jewel Thief, Heera Panna, Hare Rama Hare Krishna, Johnny Mera Naam and Asli-Naqli – have been some of the actor’s best projects. He may be no more but his youthfulness is sure to inspire many actors in the future. |

| Akshay Kumar Participates In Special Kids Event In Ahmedabad Posted: 06 Dec 2011 02:02 PM PST Akshay Kumar Participates In Special Kids Event In Ahmedabad  Gujarat's chief minister Narendra Modi, on Monday evening, flagged off an Olympic-like event in Ahmedabad with over 20 lakh kids from different age groups and states participating in various sporting events. Actor Akshay Kumar, along with a bunch of differently-abled kids from the NGO he supports, were invited to participate in all the competition categories alongside regular kids of the same age groups. The actor, who has just completed his marathon promotions for Desi Boyz, and will be off to Bangkok tonight to join the rest of the cast of Housefull 2 for the film's last schedule, says it didn't take him too long to agree to attend the event. "Thanks to my father, who also had a strong sports background, I have developed an affinity for all kinds of sporting events, whether it's martial arts, sprinting, boxing or kushti (traditional wrestling). Akshay also spoke to the politico to make martial arts compulsory for school kids in his state.  |

 The much awaited movie of the year THE DIRTY PICTURE hit the silver screen on Friday and has already gained tremendous response from the audience. In Mumbai the film released in packed houses and in Kolkata also the fans were quite excited to see Vidya Balan playing Southern siren Silk Smitha. Balaji Telefilms’ THE DIRTY PICTURE (Hindi) released in 1066 UFO digital theatres on Friday. The Vidya Balan starrer is this week’s biggest release on the UFO Moviez network, with the Hindi version in 996 UFO digital theatres, the Telugu version in 43 UFO digital theatres and the Tamil version in 27 UFO digital theatres. Meanwhile, the world of Twitter is abuzz with comments made by Vidya’s fans who have mostly appreciated her performance in the film. “Dirty Picture is a blockbuster!
