Settled Santos to shine for GunnersArsenal summer signing Andre Santos believes he is finally starting to adapt to life in the Barclays Premier League. Wenger: We will give City tough test The Brazilian left-back joined the Gunners from Fenerbahce shortly before the transfer window shut and after a tentative start has established himself as first choice in the absence of Kieran Gibbs. “I believe I needed a little run of games to get used to everything,” Santos told Arsenal’s Official Matchday Programme. “I feel a lot better on the pitch now – I’m getting to know the characteristics of all my team-mates and this is very important for me. “I’m learning to position myself better on the pitch and to read the game better as well. All of this comes with experience. “English football is fast and strong and I think the best in the world – the experience we get here makes each of us get better every day. “I’m very well and feeling really good here at Arsenal. I would like to thank everyone that helped me to get here, everyone at the Club now, and the fans – who are always behind us. “I have to say that I’m very happy here and hope to stay here for a long time. Santos believes the point against Fulham was an important result as it kept their momentum going. “It wasn’t an easy game, Fulham have a quality team,” he told Arsenal.com. “We tried hard even harder in the second half but unfortunately the second goal didn’t come. “We faced a very good opponent and maybe we didn’t have our best performance but we still have the chance to keep up this good run we’re having. “The most important thing is that we didn’t lose the game and the team showed spirit. “It is very important to a team to keep a regular stable run and we are doing that, we’re trying to accumulate as many points as we can now.” The Brazilian full-back, who did not feature in the 2010 World Cup squad, is understood to have joined the Gunners in a £6.2million deal. |

You reanimate it, of course – and the first official images of Victor Frankenstein doing just that to his pet Sparky have appeared online. Burton told Entertainment Weekly, which published the images of the stop-motion animation Frankenweenie, that the film is about the enduring story of a child and his first pet. “It just tries to keep that idea of a very, simple pure relationship. Mix that with the Frankenstein myth and it causes problems,” he said. “It has its good side and repercussions,” Burton added. “Ultimately, we try to go with the slightly more positive aspects of keeping that relationship going.”  Burton lost his job at Disney for making a live-action short of the same material in 1984. However, that film helped open doors for his career as a director. “I don’t know, they got freaked out or something, but they still allowed me to make the film. Even though I was frustrated about the release – or not release of it – it was still a great experience, and did a lot for me, so I couldn’t really complain,” Burton said. Bruce Wayne’s closest real-world approximation is apparently Donald Trump. Well, that’s if these new on-set shots featuring Trump Tower doubling for the Wayne Enterprises building are anything to go by. Obviously spoiler-phobes should turn away now, but there’s nothing too revealing on display here, just some nice scene-setting. Close-up shots of Christian Bale show him looking more Bateman than Batman (it’s all down to the hair), and Joseph Gordon-Levitt was also snapped on set.
